Matthew was our first born delivered prematurely in March 1981. He was dearly loved. Sadly he died one month later in Peterborough premature baby unit. We will never know whether if he was born in today’s scientific world the outcome would have have been any different. What is clear though is that the work undertaken by Action Medical Research would no doubt have assisted the pre-natal and post-natal care he would have received. This charity is not as high profile as the other high street charities but nonetheless they are just as worthy. Thirty years on the pain of the memory is still raw.
